In my last post “Inspiration Runs Deep” I shared a mosaic piece I’m working on for a youth leadership group in my community, started up by a friend of mine.
I’ve been trying to find time here and there to work on it and thought I’d share the progress I’ve made. Right now I’ve got to make more yellow tile for the field and then I’ll need to “grout” it and maybe paint out the edges in black… still deciding on that one.
Tell me what you think so far…. I love seeing the progression of a mosaic piece. At first it looks so strange and unclear, but as you progress, you can start to see it come together.

I think this would be an excellent visual for students to look at. It would be great to have the kids work on it too. I’m so glad that bullying is something that is talked about in the schools now. In my day, it didn’t have a name and went on all the time.
Thanks! Have been having issues accessing my blog properly – sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I’m with you and that was my hope as well that an art piece like this could be done as an interactive group project. I know I was bullied too as a kid – but like you said, back then it was labeled – it just WAS.
