After my last blog, I got to thinking…… I had commented that mosaic pieces often look strange and hard to envision in the early stages, but it always comes together in the end. As I was drifting off to sleep that night, it occurred to me: life is like a mosaic!
You can plan it – lay out your “road map”, if you will, but as you start filling in the pieces, things change. Since you’re working with “pieces” to create your final image, often times you’ll need to make a few little adjustments along the way. Though the final image may end up looking as you’d hoped, the road along the way isn’t always as easy or as straight forward as you’d initially envisioned. But, if you stay the course, forge ahead and use a little improvisation, you’ll be happy with where you end up!

So True! and often our “mistakes” along the way end up being the high point of the piece. I really love your anti-bullying mosaic. Such a great idea.
Thanks Helen, and I agree about the mistakes. It’s almost unfair to call them mistakes
They only seem that way because they didn’t follow the pattern we envisioned. I’m 98% done with it btw. Will post updated photos later.
